Frequent Questions

  1. What is Children FIRST Therapy?

Children FIRST Therapy provides the highest quality early support services for children birth to three with developmental delays through our unique, integrated preschool and group therapy programs. Through our unique integrated preschool model and in-home therapy sessions, our expert therapists provide physical, occupational and speech and language therapies. We also offer additional sensory and movement therapy programs as well as family-centered, in-home or in-childcare therapy sessions to help prepare children for preschool. Children FIRST Therapy is an invaluable resource for families in need in Spokane County. Our full range of programs and services are provided to families of children who qualify for our services.

  5. How do I access your services for my child?

The first step in starting your care journey with Children FIRST Therapy is to schedule an evaluation for your child. Children FIRST Therapy provides comprehensive developmental evaluations for all children whose families inquire about developmental delays and needed services. Children are not only assessed in every area of development but are also evaluated by a therapist who specializes in the area of greatest concern.

Once your evaluations has been completed, our Family Resource Coordinator will contact you to schedule a meeting to assist you in completing and filing all the necessary paperwork prior to your Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP).

  6. How are the cost of your services covered?

Children FIRST Therapy is a contracted service provider for Spokane Regional Health District/Early Support for Infants and Toddlers and we receive funding through the Developmental Disabilities Administration. We also bill most medical insurances and use a sliding fee scale to help offset the costs for families who qualify.
