Jason Tanascu grew up in Gardiner, Montana and attended Carroll College where he met his future wife, Kellie. He worked for the Bellevue police force and joined the Spokane Police Department when they moved here in January 2020. In his police work, he has seen it all. His current “beat” is Northwest Spokane. He has witnessed the vulnerability of children in homes where the parents are struggling with addiction or mental health. He said: “I am very passionate about ChildrenFIRST services because our oldest used the services. I also bring to the board perspective and experience from a law enforcement standpoint.”
